Whether you want to address active acne, acne scars, pore size, aging, hyperpigmentation, or simply achieve overall better skin health, chemical peels are a great option for you.
ABOUT:
A chemical peel is an esthetic procedure that utilizes chemical solutions, like alpha-hydroxy or glycolic acids, to penetrate the outer layer of the skin and gently exfoliate. Chemical Peels are a great way to achieve amazing results with minimal to moderate downtime. They work by breaking down the superficial layers of your skin and creating a controlled wound to promote the growth of a newer and healthier top layer to improve the texture, color and glow of your skin.
DURING THE PEEL:
First, your Master Aesthetician will discuss your skin with you to determine what type of peel will be best. Next, they will prep the skin with thorough cleansing. After the peel is applied evenly over your skin, they will watch carefully for when to remove. When the peel has been removed, they will apply appropriate serums or moisturizers and give instructions for post-care.
AFTER THE PEEL:
The process of peeling can be as mild as dry and flaky skin, or more moderate with larger areas of skin peeling. Regardless of how much your skin is peeling, the peel is treating your skin. Your healing time all depends on the aggressiveness of the peel and your skin. You may experience light to heavy peeling or what feels a bit like a sunburn. Healing time is usually 3-7 days. It is important you follow your Master Aestheticians post-care instructions and use the products they recommend.
RESULTS:
You will see results once your skin has healed. You’ll notice smoother, more glowing skin, and a reduction in pigmentation and fine lines.
HOW OFTEN:
For the best results, recurring maintenance is recommended. Your Master Aesthetician will tell you how often you can schedule. Usually, you can get a chemical peel every 4-6 weeks.
