Frequently Asked Questions About Weight Loss
at TimeLess Medical Spa in Ogden, UT with Brent Williams, M.D.
How much weight can I lose?
Generally speaking, you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week on average. During the first 2 or 3 weeks on the program, weight loss may be more significant.
How are patients monitored?
Laboratory results are ordered, and in some cases an EKG may be required as well, for Dr. Williams to look over and take any other factors to weight gain in to account. You will have body compositions taken every week so that we can track your progress. We will weigh you, measure your height, and calculate your body mass index (BMI) by evaluating your body composition. This evaluation will include measuring your percentage of body fat and reviewing your body’s water levels to assess hydration. You will be seen on a weekly basis by one of our professional staff members for these measurements, and seen once a month by a physician for the duration of the weight loss program.
Do I need to exercise on this program?
Exercise is not required as part of our weight loss program, but is highly suggested for clients that want to lose weight faster and keep it off. If you are interested in some exercising tips, the doctor will be more than happy to give you an outline of some exercise guidelines.
How much does the program cost?
Your initial visit will be with a trained and knowledgeable Bariatric Assistant. The Initial Work-up fee for participants starting the program is $150.00, which will cover the first month of the program including weekly weigh-ins and your first visit with Dr. Williams. That first appointment will include a complete body composition and program education. The food supplements cost about $50 – $60 a week. The first monthly fee of $95.00 is due monthly. This fee includes weekly body compositions, counseling and monthly follow-up appointments with Dr. Williams.
How long does the weight loss program last?
It all depends on how much weight you have to lose, and how strictly you adhere to the doctor’s guidelines. Much of the success of this program solely depends on you and how much effort you put into it. If you are sticking to the recommendations of the physician, you can generally lose up to 1-2 pounds a week. If you decide for any reason to stop the program, you can start it up again at anytime, as long as your health permits.
Does the program work for people who only need mild to moderate weight loss?
Yes, we have seen this program work great for a lot of people that only have 10-20 pounds to lose. If you gain a few extra pounds while in the maintenance phase, you can start taking the supplements again, and even in some cases the prescribed medications, to help you get back down to your desired weight.
Would I ever have to start the whole program over from the beginning?
If you have not been participating in the program for over one year, your physician will need to have an initial consultation with you again. During this visit, your Doctor may decide to repeat some of your blood work or an EKG, if needed.
