Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel Treatment

Chemical Peel is a versatile procedure that helps your skin heal itself and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin tone, and sun damage. Chemical Peels can help with acne, acne scars, and acne-prone skin.

LIGHT

These are our gentlest peels and don’t require downtime to heal other than slight sloughing of the skin. These are best for first time chemical peel guests or guests with dry, dull or sensitive skin. A healthy glow is yielded.

MODERATE

Moderate chemical peels are used to treat mild to moderate skin concerns such as dullness, acne, past acne scars, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. The medium chemical peel is a more intensive treatment than the light peel and will require a couple of days for your skin to recover.

ADVANCED

These advanced chemical peels are used to treat moderate to significant skin concerns such as higher grade acne, acne scars, deeper wrinkles and sun damage. Because this is an advanced peel, there will be peeling or flaking that lasts anywhere from a few days to a week or two. Your Master Aesthetician will discuss pre and post care with you for these advanced peels.

FAQs

After receiving the treatment, your skin may be pink for one to 12 hours. The peeling will begin 24-48 hours after the treatment and may last 3-7 days, depending on the peel and your skin. Your skin may also feel hot/warm or tingly shortly after getting your treatment.

We recommend you discontinue the use of Retinols/Tretinoins, AHA or BHA (chemical exfoliants), and prescription topicals 3-5 days before treatment. Ensure you do not have any active cold sores. If you are prone to them, we will prescribe you a prophylactic to ensure you do not get an outbreak 1-3 days before treatment.

You will feel some warmth during the peel and a slight tingling sensation, but your aesthetician can adjust the activity of the peel to keep you comfortable. Everyone is different, so it’s normal for some people to experience more stinging and pin-prickling sensations than others.

Having a chemical peel can help correct various skin conditions and maintain your skin’s health by increasing your cellular renewal rate and stimulating the deeper layers of live epidermal tissue. This treatment will leave your face feeling refreshed and renewed as it addresses major issues like texture, fine lines, or discoloration.
